| Oct 04/2002: Antares continues to lead the way The Antares Trike is nearing its second anniversary (March 12, 2001) as an FAA approved 51% kit. The Antares MA-33 can be built either as a complete two place Part 103 aircraft with the exemption for instruction only or as a 51 percent home built that will be registered with the Federal Aviation Administration as an experimental amateur built aircraft. The advantages of an Experimental Aircraft open the door to many advantages and privileges for the pilot/builder. The Antares as an Experimental Aircraft can be flown without the restrictions of a Part 103 ultralight. Also, the Experimental Aircraft can be maintained by the builder saving time and money during routine maintenance, annuals, etc. To date there are five Antares with Experimental Aircraft certificates. |
