| Aug 10/2004: Antares 912 is now available The latest in the line of Antares flex-wing trikes is now available
The ever-popular light and sturdy Antares has just reached a new milestone with the complete installation and development of the MA-33M with the Rotax 912A four-cycle engine.
This new quieter and more efficient model of the Antares has a better range, faster cruise, better climb out and features a new Super Soft engine mount that virtually eliminates engine vibration.
This trike really climbs just like a rocket, says designer and manufacturer Sergiy Zozulya. According to Zozulya the MA-33 R912 has a climb rate at sea level of 1,600 feet per minute with a single pilot and 1,200 fpm with a pilot and passenger. Antares U.S. Corporation has spent the last three months fine-tuning the installation of the Rotax built 912A that offers a completely new engine mounting. We designed a new engine frame and uprights and included the Super Soft engine mounts, says Zozulya who manufactures Antares-US from Chugiak, Alaska.
But smooth flying is not the only attractive feature. The trike recently test flown at Birchwood Airport in Chugiak, Alaska is definitely a smoother and higher performance aircraft than its predecessors the MA-31, MA-32 R503, and MA-33 R582 versions, the new craft out performs them all.
Flown initially with the Aeros Proffi wing the trike and wing cruise at 65 M.P.H. and stalls at 38 M.P.H. with an Aero three bladed quiet tip prop.
Costing less than its competition the MA-33M R912 retails for $29,990.00 complete with the Aeros Profi wing, and full instrumentation.
With the advancements of technology and reliability offered by Rotax, the air, water and oil cooled features of the 912 engine, this trike is not only environmentally friendly it is very pilot friendly, added Sergiy Zozulya. |
